Tintex Shipping & Stores FAQ
The store shipping policy has been updated as of July 15th 2020 and as a result, all previous S&H rates for smaller orders (that varied by province/state & free shipping specials for Ontario and Quebec are discontinued). Now every purchase in Canada/USA receives free shipping. The Canadian order minimum is $100 before taxes (excluding NFLD) and the USA order minimum is $140 before taxes. Orders under the new minimums will not proceed at checkout. You will get a message about 'not being able to ship to your address' if you try and checkout with a total below the minimum. *Amazon may be an option if you prefer to order a smaller amount.
Where do you ship Tintex?
We use Purolator to ship Tintex products to Canada and the continental USA only. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico. ***Someone must be present to sign, Purolator does not ship to PO boxes!
How long will my order take to get to my home in Canada or the USA?
Orders are shipped before 12pm Monday - Friday only. There is next business day shipping for orders placed in the afternoon, evening or weekend (and for Canadian/Ontario holidays). Most Canadian orders ship within 2 - 7 business days. In general, if a Canadian order takes longer than 10 business days there may be a delay. Shipping times vary due to when the order was placed and where the address is. Our warehouse often ships to addresses in Toronto and Montreal sooner than other areas in Canada.
Orders to the USA will have slightly longer times than Canada and delivery may be up to 14 business days. The general USA shipping estimate may vary due to delays that occur from shipping between countries.
***Location Shipping Example: an order to British Columbia or Newfoundland may take 5 - 7 business days, but a Toronto Ontario order may be delivered in 2 business days (shipping times vary depending on when the order is placed).
***Order Date Shipping Example: if you make an order on Friday afternoon, it will be prepared/shipped on Monday morning (orders are not processed on the weekend or Canadian/Ontraio holidays).
I have a question about my order shipping status, what do I do?
When you place an order from our online store, a your order number is sent in a confirmation email. If you have questions about delivery you can reply to that email, or send a new email (including your order number).
Why can't I use my PO Box for shipping? Why is my full address so important?
Purolator needs your *full shipping address* including your *buzzer code*. You need to include a phone number so they can contact you about any delivery issues. Include more information as a shipping note at checkout. Purolator never ships to PO boxes, someone must be present to sign for your package.
We only offer standard Purolator delivery. Canadian shipping times vary from 2 business days (for Toronto or Montreal) to 5-7 business days (for NFLD or BC). USA orders take longer time due to possible delays from shipping between countries.
Can I pick-up my order at your warehouse?
All orders are shipped by Purolator and we do not offer warehouse pick-ups.
What happens if I miss the delivery person?
If your Canadian order hasn't arrived after 10 business days or a USA order hasn't arrived after a longer period of time, there may have been a missed delivery.
When an order is not deliverable on the 1st attempt Purolator will leave an on-site note and/or will make contact via the phone number attached to your order. You have a few days to pick-up your order at Purolator's closest location. If your package is not claimed, it will be sent back to our Ontario warehouse. We will contact you about a refund or may deliver again via standard Canada Post.
Why do I have to order so much product now? Where did the flat rates for small orders go?
We have order minimums that allow everyone in Canada and the USA to have free shipping. All previous flat rates and deals for selected provinces are no longer available. To get greater value you may take advantage of bulk sizes or order for a few people at once. Tintex is also available at Canadian retail stores or other online selling sites like Amazon that have different assortments of products or delivery policies.
Can I add to an order that has already been placed?
We are unable to add more products to orders that have already been processed, packed and shipped. If you decide to order more products you will need to place a new order.
Can I change the products after my order has already been processed?
Requests to alter original orders are not always possible, especially after an order has already been processed and packed.
Where can I buy Tintex at retail stores?
Tintex is found in the laundry, craft and shoe polish areas of Canadian stores*. The assortment of products may vary. Independently owned stores have different selections (some may have fabric dye while others may not). Please contact the stores directly about their assortment (other online selling sites like ebay, amazon and well.ca also have our products).
